Audio trimmer & joiner
Cut a section out of an audio file, or join several clips in order, then export as WAV. Everything is decoded and edited in your browser with the Web Audio API — no upload, no account.

Why trim before you transcribe
Speech-to-text has to process everything you give it. A two-minute recording with ninety seconds of silence, an intro jingle or a long pause at the start costs time and can push the model into returning stray text. Cutting the file down to the part with speech is often the simplest fix for an empty or noisy transcript — and you can read more about that in what to do when a transcript comes back empty.
Joining clips is useful when a conversation was recorded in several takes, or when three voice notes belong in one file. Add them in the order you want and export once. The export is 16-bit PCM WAV at the source sample rate: lossless, widely accepted, and ready for the transcript tool or any video editor.
Is WAV bigger than MP3?
Yes, often ten times bigger. WAV is uncompressed. If you need a small file for sharing, convert the exported WAV with a video or audio converter afterwards — but for transcription and editing, WAV avoids a second lossy encode.
Does joining clips resample or change quality?
Clips from the same file share a sample rate and are copied sample-for-sample. If you load a different file, the clip list is cleared so you never accidentally mix mismatched formats.
What happens to the original file?
Nothing. This tool only reads it. Your file on disk is never modified.
