This page describes what happens to a file you upload to TranscriptReel, and what this site does and does not collect.

File processing

When you select a file and start transcription, the file leaves your browser. It is uploaded to this Cloudflare Worker and sent to Cloudflare Workers AI for transcription.

Storage

This site does not save uploaded files or transcripts in a database or persistent storage. The transcript is returned to your browser tab. When you close the tab, the displayed transcript is gone.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. The transcript tool does not track the files you upload, and there is no first-party tracking of your visit.

There is one exception, and it is on this page because it is true: some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the affiliate network (Rakuten Advertising, via click.linksynergy.com, and CJ Affiliate, via jdoqocy.com) may set its own cookies or equivalent identifiers so that a later purchase is attributed to this site. Those cookies are set by that third party, not by us, and they only apply if you click an affiliate link. Links of this kind are marked rel="sponsored" in the page source, and the pages that carry them say so next to the link.

Affiliate links

Some guides and FAQ answers on this site link to third-party software. Where a link earns us a commission it is labelled as an affiliate link on the page and marked rel="sponsored". The commission does not change what you pay, and it does not decide what we recommend: every recommendation on this site has to survive the same tests the guides describe, and where we have not measured something we say so rather than guess.

Following an affiliate link takes you to the vendor's own site, which has its own privacy policy. Nothing about the file you upload here is shared with an affiliate partner — affiliate links and the transcript tool are entirely separate, and no file or transcript is ever passed to a partner.

Third parties

Transcription runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. The file you upload is transmitted to Cloudflare for that purpose. We do not send your file to any other service, and we do not operate an unofficial Instagram downloader or route your request through one.

Instagram links

This site does not accept Instagram URLs. It cannot fetch media from Instagram, because Instagram blocks third-party access to its video content. Any media you transcribe here is a file you selected from your own device.

What we do not collect

No account, no email address, no payment details, and no transcript history. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing stored to delete.

Changes to this page

If what this site does with files changes, this page will be updated to say so. The current behaviour is what is described above.
